Mavis Eileen Butler

January 11, 1931 - October 23, 2011

Mavis Eileen Butler, 80, of Janesville died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Alden Meadow Park Heath Care Center in Clinton following a short illness. Mavis was born in Wecota, SD on January 11, 1931 the daughter of Vic and Louise (Hahler) Holsing. She graduated from Cresband, SD High School in 1949 and attended Northern States College. Eileen married Dale W. Butler on October 25, 1953. After moving to Janesville, she was employed by several businesses including Parker Pen Company and prior to retiring by the City of Janesville. Eileen was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and a former member of the Elks Ladies.
Surviving are four children, Guy D. Butler (significant other – Jane) of Edgerton, Vicky L Bellrichard (Robert) of Janesville, Linda M. Finger (Jeff) of Janesville, Marty W. Butler (Barb) of Texas. In addition, Eileen has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom she adored. She is further survived by her sister Marlene Kern and her brother, Gene Holsing (Bev).  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, as well as her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2921 Mt. Zion Avenue, Janesville with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Friday. Pastor Paul Speerbrecher will officiate. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.  The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson.com.
